Air Ambulance Busuanga

Busuanga Island is mainly known for the twelve World War II  Japanese wrecks that were sunk by American navy bombings.  Similarly, Coron Island is synonymous with world-class wreck diving. Also, it has been known as the Truk Lagoon of the Philippines.  Likewise, the channels between Busuanga and Culion are home to a number of impressive wrecks from a Japanese supply fleet bombed in September, 1944.

Coron is one of the most visited destinations for wreck diving in the Philippines. One can find wreck dive sites in a depth as shallow as 10–30 feet and as deep as 120–140 feet. Consequently, most are in the range of about 60–80 feet, perfect for sports divers.

The aquatic views from the sunken Japanese warships off Coron Island are in the list of Forbes Traveler Magazine’s top 10 best scuba diving sites in the world.  Tangat Wreck, Lusong Gunboat, Skeleton Wreck, Kogyu Maru, Olympia Maru, Akitsushima, Iraku Wreck and Okiwara Maru are among these dive spots.

Most air ambulance missions in Busuanga were all diving related incidents, accidents or injuries, including emergencies of decompression illness.

Airgurus Ltd Co has pressurized fixed-wing and helicopters to aid evacuations as road travel must be below 1000 feet in altitude. If needing an emergency evacuation to the nearest hyperbaric chambers in the Philippines, contact Airgurus.  The hotline is +63 917 8857911.
